San Jose, CA (April 3, 2006) Embedded Systems Booth 3214 – Tall Maple Systems announced today the immediate availability of Samara High Availability (HA) for clustered appliances. This new functionality builds on top of the award winning Samara ™ Software development platform, which has been production proven to accelerate time to market while decreasing the time and cost required by appliance manufacturers.

Samara – High Availability addresses the needs of customers deploying multiple appliances that wish to centrally manage clusters, as well as those needing to synchronize both configuration and run-time application specific states.

Samara-HA enables multiple boxes to work together to solve distributed problems, while preventing any single point failure. Customers are allowed a new degree of flexibility in determining how many appliances to deploy to solve their end-user problem, and they can seamlessly add additional boxes to scale their solution. In this way Samara-HA helps preserve mission critical operations in the event of box failure, through the utilization of N+1 failover, heartbeat, autonomous discovery and dynamic membership.

Samara-HA is licensed separately from Samara and Samara-CMC.
